About Ann

Ann is the child of Dutch immigrant parents. She grew up the middle child of nine in the small town of Wallaceburg.
There was an upside to a large family. There was always someone to play with even if she was miffed with someone. But the noise of the family sometimes was so overwhelming, she found a haven in the washroom where she could lock the door and read novels. Because the children’s shelves at the local library in the 1960s had slim pickings, she began to read the English and Russian classics in the adult section at an early age.
Of course, as all voracious readers, she dreamed of one day becoming a writer. Between working in the dark room, working on photo scans and normal everyday stuff she takes out time to write.
Her favourite hobby is growing flowers and organic vegetables. But, if she had to choose between the two, she would choose to grow flowers.
Her area of interest is historical fiction. One of her dreams is to time travel. Writing about the past is the closest she can get to making that dream come true.
